Atiku Finally Breaks Silence On Ruga Settlements

Nigeria’s former vice president, Atiku Abubakar has finally revealed his stance on the controversial Ruga settlements initiated by the President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government.
According to him, he aligns with his party stance on the matter.
He wrote:
“My position on Ruga is the same as articulated by the Governors elected under the banner of my party, the PDP. My position has been well iterated by our Governors & the PDP is one. I will not dignify that threat with a response. There is no North or South. There is just Nigeria.”
Recall that Nigerian government had on Thursday, July 4th 2019 suspended the controversial Ruga initiative after public outcry. After the suspension, the northern youths in response issued a 30-day ultimatum to every southerner residing in the north to vacate unless Ruga is implemented.
